There was a small surprise when tenth ranked DutchGroningen (9-6) edged at home 8th ranked Belgian Circus Brussels (10-7) 77-76 on Saturday. Groningen outrebounded Brussels 45-29 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Groningen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Carlton Linguard Jr (213-2001, college: USF) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Danish forward Dane Erikstrup (208-2003, college: WSU) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Jalen Finch (185-1999, college: Georgia South) responded with 18 points and 8 assists and French center Jared Ambrose (204-2002) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Brussels players scored in double figures. Circus Brussels' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Groningen . They moved-up to ninth place. Loser Circus Brussels keep the eighth position with seven games lost.
